As the loyal reader will have guessed already, other commitments have limited the time I’ve been able to spend creating new content for ClassActionBlawg.com lately.  As a result, I’ve decided to take a hiatus through the end of August.  I’ll probably be posting announcements from time to time, but will be taking a break from any in-depth commentary until September.

Enjoy the Summer, and I’ll be back again in the Fall with more riveting class action-related content…

After some deep soul-searching, I’ve decided that it’s time to take this site in a new direction. Writing about class action news and trends has had its rewards, but for months now, I’ve been drawn to another calling.  So, I am excited to announce a major change to the theme of this site.  Starting soon, ClassActionBlawg will become ClassFashionBlawg, a hub for the hottest news, notes, and gossip from the world of fashion.  Move over Newberg, it’s Versace time!

More on this exciting announcement coming on the 31st of this month…

I’m taking a week or two off of blogging to work on the copy edited chapters for the World Class Actions book.  So far, most of the authors have been great at getting their chapters back to me with revisions, so I remain optimistic that we’ll be able to keep the publication schedule on track.  The publisher has set a tentative June 2012 publication date.  Check back here for more updates on the book’s progress as the summer approaches.  If you’re curious to learn more, here’s a link to the book’s page at the Oxford University Press website.

I hope to start posting riveting class action-related content again soon, so stay tuned…

I’ll be on vacation next week, so unless Rule 23 is repealed, I probably won’t be posting much.  Check back the first week of August for more riveting class action-related content!

We here at ClassActionBlawg.com would like to wish all of our faithful readers a happy and healthy Holiday Season.  Best wishes to you all for a joyful and prosperous 2011 (except maybe for you plaintiffs’ lawyers… Ok, you too, just not the prosperous part when you’re suing our clients).

To you, my very, very loyal reader (I have in mind a picture of Flight of the Conchords superfan, Mel, who by the way has her own blog):

If you really have been waiting in anticipation for this post, you really should consider therapy.  However, when I began my extended hiatus in June, I did promise to resume blogging this fall, and I am a man of my word.  That, and my life has recently returned to some semblance of normalcy after I had two nationwide class actions go away in a two-week period.

So, the time has come to start blogging about the exciting world of class action litigation once again.  I’m in the process of dusting off the cobwebs, and you should expect to see some real content over the next few days.  I have even managed to attract a guest contributor.  So, if you weren’t on the edge of your seat before, you should be now.  Stay tuned…

Yours truly,

Paul Karlsgodt

To you, the loyal reader (and by now I mean that literally):

My current case load and other writing commitments have left me unable to post new content on ClassActionBlawg.com with any reasonable level of regularity, so I have decided to take the summer off.  As they say in France (Or I should say, I think they say this in France), “Ce n’est pas un adieu, C’est juste un au revoir.”  Please check back for new and exciting class action-related content this Fall…

Yours very truly,

Paul Karlsgodt
